She was fine then we went outside for 10 min and she wouldn't stop sniffing the same spots then we came in and she is breathing heavy and she dont care about anything but walking back and forth
It sounds like your German Shepherd is experiencing some distress, which can be quite concerning. Heavy breathing and changes in behavior, such as pacing and not being herself, can have several potential causes.
Firstly, if she has been outside and active, she might be overheated or overexerted.
And given her history of skin allergies, it's also possible that she encountered something outside that triggered a reaction. Check her skin for any signs of swelling, hives, or redness, which could indicate an allergic response.
Heavy breathing can sometimes be a sign of respiratory issues, such as an infection or an obstruction.
Changes in environment or routine can sometimes cause anxiety or stress in dogs, leading to heavy breathing and restlessness. Try to create a calm and soothing environment for her to help alleviate any anxiety she might be feeling.
Given that these symptoms are quite severe and have persisted for a day, I strongly recommend taking her to a veterinarian as soon as possible. Heavy breathing and significant changes in behavior can indicate serious underlying issues that need prompt attention.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask. Thank you.
