It's completely understandable to be concerned when your dog suddenly changes its bathroom habits, especially when they have been well-trained previously. There are several potential reasons for this behavior change that we should consider.

Firstly, stress or anxiety could be a factor. Changes in the household, such as you becoming a stay-at-home wife, can sometimes cause stress or anxiety in dogs. They might express this by urinating or defecating in the house.

Secondly, medical issues could be at play. Diarrhea and inappropriate urination can be signs of underlying medical conditions such as urinary tract infections, gastrointestinal issues, or other health problems.

Lastly, behavioral changes might be contributing to this issue. Dogs can sometimes develop new habits or regress in their training due to various factors, including changes in their environment or routine.

To address this issue at home, try to re-establish a consistent routine for bathroom breaks. Take your dog out at regular intervals, especially after meals, playtime, and naps.

Reward your dog with treats and praise when they go to the bathroom outside. This can help reinforce the desired behavior.

And ensure your dog's diet is consistent and appropriate for their age and size. Sometimes dietary changes can cause gastrointestinal upset.

Use an enzymatic cleaner to thoroughly clean any accidents in the house. This will help remove any lingering odors that might encourage your dog to go in the same spot again.

Given that this behavior has been ongoing for three weeks and is accompanied by diarrhea and inappropriate urination, it would be wise to take your pet to a veterinarian. These symptoms could indicate a medical issue that needs to be addressed. A vet can perform a thorough examination and run any necessary tests to determine the underlying cause and recommend appropriate treatment.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask. Thank you.
