I'm really sorry to hear that your cat is having difficulties during labor. The bad smell and the fact that she had a stillborn kitten are indeed concerning signs. A foul odor can indicate an infection or a retained kitten, both of which are serious conditions that require immediate attention.

At home, you can try to keep her comfortable and monitor her closely. Make sure she has a quiet, warm, and clean space to rest. You can gently clean any discharge with a warm, damp cloth, but it's important to avoid using any antiseptics or medications without professional guidance.

Given the symptoms you described, it's crucial to seek veterinary care as soon as possible. The bad smell and the delay in delivering more kittens could indicate complications that need urgent medical intervention. A veterinarian can perform an examination and possibly an ultrasound to determine if there are any remaining kittens and if there is an infection that needs to be treated.

Please take her to a veterinarian immediately to ensure she gets the care she needs. If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask. Thank you.

I understand the difficulty of your situation, but given the symptoms you’ve described, waiting until Thursday could pose significant risks to Star
’s health. The bad smell and the presence of a stillborn kitten are strong indicators that there may be serious complications, such as a retained kitten or an infection, which can be life-threatening if not treated promptly.

Given the severity of the symptoms, I strongly recommend finding a way to get her to a veterinarian as soon as possible. Delaying care could result in serious health consequences for her.
