Thank you for connecting us regarding your turtle’s eye problem. Swollen eye in a turtle is one of the most common problems. The eye problem should be taken to a veterinarian, and an exotic veterinary specialist is specifically recommended. Infection and vitamin A deficiency are common reasons to swell the eye. However, the diagnosis should be made by the vet who checks your turtle directly. In the meantime, you can warm the water temperature to around 80F and heat your turtle’s area around 90F for 12 hours a day with a basking spot. If you consider the potential of infection, an ultraviolet-B emitting bulb could be helpful. Thank you.
