Thank you for connecting us regarding your dog’s eye. I am sorry for the accident. The injured part could be either cornea or conjunctiva, the outer parts of the eye. The corneal injury caused severe pain and required a vet’s attention. The conjunctival damage could be milder than corneal damage, but it may also show excessive tear, pain, and irritation. Preventative treatment with an over-the-counter antibiotic ophthalmic ointment (Terramycin) could be beneficial in this case. In the meantime, you can put her E-collar that protects your dog from self-trauma. Please upload a picture, including the cornea and the conjunctiva. I may be able to provide you with better information. Thank you. Also, please confirm that there is no intraocular damage and keep the eye’s shapes well. If you think the shape of the eye is not intact, you should go to an emergency service as soon as possible. Thank you.
