My dog has brown spots on his skin and some little black spots on his private area. I’m not sure what these are. I thought it might be a tick but I’m not sure.

Thank you for connecting us regarding your pet’s tick issue. You need to remove ticks with a comb, tweezer, and your hand as much as possible. And then, you can apply the over-the-count medication to your pet. It works very well. However, if it is not going well, you can ask your vet prescription for purchasing other types of tick applications. Thank you.
I still haven’t received an answer to my question. Does it definitely look like he has a tick?

It can be.
So it does look like a tick? What kind of medication am I looking for over the counter? Thank you very much

There are no “best” OTC products for ticks. It is just a matter of preference.
