Firstly, if Toby's joints are swollen and hot, it can be a ligament injury or a fracture.. Swelling around the affected area is also common in such cases. Additionally, Toby may yelp, whine, or show other signs of pain when the leg is touched or moved. A visible deformity or an abnormal angle in the leg can also be a clear indication of a break or dislocation. Bruising around the area is another sign that may suggest a fracture.

If there is no abnormality in the range of joint movement of him, and there is no doubt of a fracture, it may be a simple sprain.

For home care, avoid manipulating the leg too much, as this can cause additional pain or damage. And massage the area with an ice pack, and if the symptoms improve, massage the joints or muscles with a warm towel afterward.
