Sneezing, lethargy, eye issues
It sounds like your cat might be dealing with an upper respiratory infection (URI), which is quite common, especially in young cats. The symptoms you're describing—sneezing, lethargy, and eye issues—are typical of URIs, which can be caused by viruses like herpesvirus or calicivirus, or by bacteria.
To help your cat feel more comfortable at home, you can try a few things:
Firstly, ensure your cat is well-hydrated. Encourage them to drink plenty of water, and offering wet food can also help increase their fluid intake.
Using a humidifier in the room where your cat spends most of its time can ease respiratory symptoms. Additionally, bringing your cat into the bathroom while you run a hot shower can create a steam bath that may help clear nasal congestion.
For eye care, gently wipe any discharge from your cat's eyes with a clean, damp cloth. If needed, you can use sterile saline solution for this purpose.
Monitor your cat closely. If the symptoms persist or worsen, particularly if your cat stops eating or drinking, it would be best to seek veterinary care. Persistent lethargy and eye issues can indicate a more serious condition that might require medical intervention.
