Vomiting foam,Diarrhea with blood and odor, hasn’t eaten in 3 days, having to “force” fluids but does drink on his own some, spoke to a vet office today and closest appointment available is Monday morning. They recommended me giving him unflavored clear pedialyte and offer that as long as he would take it, I wasn’t able to find any of the clear but I did buy the one pictured below and have been able to get some of that in him using the medicine syringe below. He’s taken 1.875 a total of 3 times and I also just filled it all the way up and added it to his bowl of water which is a regular size cereal bowl about half full. Is it ok for him to have the pedialyte I was able to buy instead of the unflavored clear pedialyte?

I'm really sorry to hear that your puppy is feeling so unwell. Given the symptoms you described—vomiting foam, diarrhea with blood and odor, not eating for three days, and needing to force fluids—this situation is quite serious.

Using the flavored Pedialyte you have is generally okay in the short term, especially since it's important to keep your puppy hydrated. Change the water frequently, and place the water in several places. Adding a very small amount of sugar to the water may also help.

Given the severity of his symptoms, if you notice any rapid decline in his condition, it would be best to seek emergency veterinary care immediately, even if it means going to an emergency vet clinic. Waiting until Monday might be too long given his current state.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask. Thank you.
